These terms govern your use of SaxScope — the interactive saxophone fingering, key, and transposition tool provided by Katapult Media ("we," "us"). By using SaxScope on the web, iOS, or Android, you agree to these terms.

1. License to use SaxScope

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SaxScope for your own practice and study. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its content.

2. SaxScope is a practice aid

SaxScope provides fingerings, key signatures, scales, transposition, and a metronome as an educational aid. While we work to keep the information accurate, it is provided as is and may contain errors, and it is not a substitute for a qualified instructor or authoritative method book. Use your own judgment.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

The mobile app is a paid app. All purchases, upgrades, and any subscriptions are sold and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms, pricing, and refund policies. Requests for refunds are handled by the applicable store, not by us. Prices and available features may change.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
  • copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app or its branding;
  • use the app in any unlawful way or to infringe anyone's rights.

5. Intellectual property

SaxScope, the "Sax Scope" name, the scope-reticle mark, and the app's design and content are owned by Katapult Media and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

SaxScope is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Katapult Media will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) SaxScope. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it.

8. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time, and we may revise these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using SaxScope at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
