Privacy Policy

SaxScope is a saxophone practice tool made by Katapult Media. The short version: we don't require an account and we don't collect your personal information.

Information we collect

We don't collect personal data. SaxScope has no accounts, no login, and no user profiles. We don't track you across apps or websites and we don't run advertising.

  • On-device preferences. Your choices — the saxophone you pick, sharp/flat spelling, the last note or tempo you used — are stored locally on your device (your browser's local storage on the web, on-device storage in the app). This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
  • Web fonts. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. As part of serving those fonts, Google may receive your IP address and browser information, per Google's privacy policy.
  • Purchases. If you buy the app or an upgrade, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies. We may receive aggregate, non-identifying sales information from them; we never receive your payment card details.

How we use information

Because preferences never leave your device, there is nothing for us to use, sell, or share. Store-provided sales data is used only to understand overall app usage.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information — we don't have any to share. The only third parties involved are the app stores (for purchases) and Google Fonts (for the website's typography), described above.

Data retention & your choices

On-device data persists until you clear your browser storage or uninstall the app. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser or deleting the app. Since we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children's privacy

SaxScope is a general-audience music tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Because SaxScope stores data only on your device and operates without a backend account system, the surface for a data breach is minimal.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
